Instituting a new award

Please contact the General Secretary of the Sabha if you are interested in starting a new award, scholarship or cash assistance. The rules and regulations that govern a new award are given below.


Rules and Regulations for Mathur Sabha Awards


(Approved in the General Body Meeting, 2000)

1. Title : The rules shall be known as "Rules for Sponsoring Awards for members of Mathur Sabha, Jaipur".

2. Objective : The objective of sponsoring the awards is to recognise the caliber and distinction of the member or his/her child/children by honouring him/her on stage and presenting a token for this recognition.

3. Scheme : The scheme shall function in such a fashion that it works on "No Profit No Loss" to the Mathur Sabha, Jaipur funds. The funds received for any award shall be kept in the form of a Fixed Deposit Receipts (FDR) for award. It shall earn yearly interest and all the related expenses shall be covered from this interest. It shall be expected that only 90% of the interest is spent and rest 10% is carried over year after year to meet any unforeseen expenditure.

4. Who can sponsor : Any individual, (Member of Mathur Sabha or otherwise), group or business concern can sponsor the award. At the time of sponsorship, the sponsorer shall be fully competent to prescribe the qualifications for the winner and be free to suggest the name of award, but it shall be subject to approval by Executive Committee.

5. Awards & the amount to be deposited : The following annual awards are suggestive only and more can be added.

(vi) Cash Awards                                               12 times the proposed cash award

(vii) Gold Plated Medals (10 gms.)                 Rs. 3,000/-

(viii) Silver Plated Medals (10 gms.)              Rs. 1,500/-

(ix) The Executive Committee, on behalf of Mathur Sabha, may award medal to a member of the community for his/her exemplary performance in any field of activity such as (a) selection in All India Services, State Level Services, Defense Services, (b) for award earned at National or State level etc.

The amount deposited by the sponsorer shall be non-refundable.
   
6. Additional Amount : If due to rise in cost index, the interest of the amount deposited is fount insufficient to meet the cost of the award, the General Secretary, Mathur Sabha, Jaipur after approval of Executive Committee, shall meet out the additional requirements from the funds available for this purpose.

7. Certificates : Certificates to all winners shall be awarded under the signatures of the President, General Secretary and concerned Event Secretary at the cost of Mathur Sabha, Jaipur.

8. Funds : The amount obtained shall be kept in the form of FDRs. Seperate account shall be maintained to show amount received, yearly interest received, expenses on polishing, engravement, transportation etc.

9. Discontinuation of Award : The award shall be discontinued under following conditions.

(i) The sponsorer or his heir desire in writing to discontinue the award.

(ii) The duration of the awards mentioned in clause 5 shall be 10 years. After this period the balance amount left out of deposited funds shall be credited to Mathur Sabha General receipts and award discontinued.

10. Running Shields/Trophies/Cups : The running Shields/Trophies awarded to the winner, shall be returned to the Finance Secretary atleast a month before the Holi festival. The cups awarded shall be retained permanently by the winner.

11. Polishing & Placards : All Shields/Trophies shall be polished before the function day. A placard showing name of winner and year of award shall be engraved and the placard fixed to the shield in the space provided for the purpose.

All cups, medals shall be engraved with the name of the winner, the year of award and "Mathur Sabha, Jaipur".

12. Awards for cultural, educational and other activities : As and when competitions are held, Mathur Sabha will give suitable awards to the winners.

The awards can also be sponsored. For this, the award money/prizes shall be deposited with the Mathur Sabha by the patron atleast 60 days before the competition date.

13. Selection of winners : The Executive Committee shall frame a sub committee to select the winner in each event.

14. Selection of Award : On the spot announcement of award in a function for any particular event shall be permitted only if adequate funds are deposited with Finance Secretary before such announcement.

15. Amendment to Rules : The Executive Committee shall be competent to amend the rules as it deems fit.

Scholarships awarded

Smt. Uma & Prof. P.Dayal Memorial Merit scholarship was awared to Ms. Ishita Mathur (D/o Sh. Kailash C. Mathur & Mrs. Alka Mathur) .  She secured 92.47% percentile marks in the Ist year of B.E. (Computer Sc.) 2005.  A cheque for Rs 12000/- was given by Dr. Prakash Dayal on 30.4.2006.

was awarded to Master Kushal Mathur (S/o Sh. Kailash C. Mathur & Mrs. Alka Mathur).
He secured 93% marks in Secondary School Exam (Class X Board) 2005 .
