Message from the President on occasion of Diwali '05
I have great pleasure in extending to all the members of the Mathur community Deepawali greetings and best wishes for a very prosperous new year. This time of the year is the liveliest period when festivities of different kinds are in the air. For the 2005 Diwali Milan ( November 6), a programme of Rass, Garba and Dandiya is planned which will be in tune with this spirit. I expect a very enthusiastic participation of both the young and the old of the community.
May your each step be the one in the direction of happiness and prosperity. Deepawali is a beautiful festival of light that commemorates the victory of good over evil. There is one more significance of this event. Each lighted diya (lamp) removes darkness (ignorance) but small diyas put close to each other brighten the whole surrounding. So let all members of the community join hands and make collective efforts, in the true Deepawali tradition, to see that the glory of Mathurs, as an enlightened community is held in high esteem for ever. Let no lamp flicker, let each one give enough luminescence and that removes darkness. The objective of the Mathur Sabha, Jaipur will be achieved only if we work as a community and with each one of us contributes his or her might as an individual, without loosing his or her identity.
Wishing you a Happy Deepawali !
